The Marine Corps Community Support (MCCS) program is a comprehensive one that helps Marines, their families, and other members of the Marine Corps Community live better lives. Military personnel, civilian employees, contractors, and volunteers keep the organization running smoothly and effectively in our team-oriented environment.

Duties:

Cleaning tasks include cleaning corridors, offices, storerooms, rooms, and other areas. uses a variety of cleaning agents to clean and maintain ceiling, wall, and floor surfaces. cleans, polishes, sweeps, vacuums, and mop floors. uses motorized equipment; oil and clean it; changes the tools and brushes. polishes, waxes, and dusts furniture. cleans out wastebaskets and ashtrays. cleans blinds, windows, and walls. Occasionally uses ladders and scaffolds to wash walls, change light bulbs, and replace Venetian blinds. spruces up doorknobs and other metal fittings. Positions are regarded as essential personnel that are essential to the continuation of operational functions during times of base closure.  

  • maintains a supply of cleaning materials on hand; when additional cleaning supplies are required, informs the supervisor. communicates equipment problems to the supervisor. 
  • moves stock, fixtures, and furniture. may change the light bulbs as needed. 
  • demonstrates impeccable customer service with a focus on politeness. Provides customer assistance and uses friendly, positive communication. smiles, acknowledges customers, and looks at them. tries to figure out, verify, and solve problems by asking questions. checks to see if customers are happy with the quality of goods and services. quickly takes action to solve problems. when problems arise, informs the appropriate supervisor at a higher level or point of contact for assistance.  
  • adheres to safety standards and regulations. uses the necessary safety gear and follows safe work procedures. promptly notifies the immediate supervisor of any observed workplace hazards, as well as any injuries, illnesses, or property damage caused by workplace mishaps. 
  • adheres to established standards for actively supporting the EEO program's principles and sexual harassment prevention. 
  • carries and lifts up to 50 lbs. on their own, and over 50 lbs. with assistance. 
  • as assigned, performs other related tasks
